What is the difference between a nanny/night nurse and a doula?

A postpartum doula main responsibilities are toward the mother and baby. A nanny/night nurse is focused on the care of the baby.  A postpartum doula provides physical and emotional support during the postpartum period. Many doulas use evidence-based information in their approach as obtained during their training.

Whether you are looking for postpartum support for your baby or you are looking to get a little bit more sleep for your family we are here to support you!  We love helping families during the postpartum period as you adjust to being a new parent!  Our role as a postpartum doula is to make sure that the you are getting rest and sleep as well as educating and guiding you with our expertise.   We can assist with breastfeeding/bottle feeding, bathing and general care of your baby.  Our training and experience will help you get off to a good start.  We look forward to hearing from you!

Terms and Rates are as follows:
Minimum of 4 or 8 hour blocks (Overnights are a minimum of 8 hour blocks)

Rates:
$45.00 per hour

* Travel time applies to areas beyond Fayette county
